Director
Damien Lee Stirk
A graduate of English National Ballet School and recipient of the Rudolf Nureyev Foundation Scholarship, Damien began his career performing with English National Ballet under Derek Deane, whilst still a member of the school. In 1999, he joined The Israel Ballet, where he danced soloist and principal roles, before returning to the UK to perform in Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake, touring internationally as a performer, dance captain, and ballet teacher.
Alongside his career as a performer, Damien continues to appear as an actor with The Royal Ballet in major productions including Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, La Bayadère, Manon, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The Firebird, and Don Quixote.
Holding a Professional Dancer’s Teaching Diploma (PDTD) with distinction from the Royal Academy of Dance, Damien has developed a teaching practice that is both rigorous and encouraging. He specialises in adult ballet and vocational-level training, while also ensuring that younger dancers feel supported and nurtured in their development.
His teaching career has taken him across the UK and internationally to Brazil, Denmark, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico, and the USA.
At The Dancers Studio London, Damien combines his international experience with a personal, welcoming approach, ensuring every dancer feels valued, guided, and inspired.
