  • Damien Lee Stirk

    Founder & Director

    Damien Lee Stirk, founder and director of The Dancers Studio London, brings a lifelong passion for dance and a commitment to artistic excellence to everything we do. He is proud to welcome dancers of all ages and levels into a safe, inspiring, and professional environment.

    A graduate of English National Ballet School and recipient of the Rudolf Nureyev Foundation Scholarship, Damien began his career performing with English National Ballet under Derek Deane, whilst still a member of the school. In 1999, he joined The Israel Ballet, where he danced soloist and principal roles, before returning to the UK to perform in Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake, touring internationally as a performer, dance captain, and ballet teacher.

    Alongside his career as a performer, Damien continues to appear as an actor with The Royal Ballet in major productions including Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, La Bayadère, Manon, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The Firebird, and Don Quixote.

    Holding a Professional Dancer’s Teaching Diploma (PDTD) with distinction from the Royal Academy of Dance, Damien has developed a teaching practice that is both rigorous and encouraging. He specialises in adult ballet and vocational-level training, while also ensuring that younger dancers feel supported and nurtured in their development. His teaching career has taken him across the UK and internationally to Brazil, Denmark, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico, and the USA.

    At The Dancers Studio London, Damien combines his international experience with a personal, welcoming approach, ensuring every dancer feels valued, guided, and inspired.

  • Rain De Rye Barrett

    Royal Ballet & Opera Warden

    Rain is a distinguished dancer and actor whose career spans both stage and screen.

    Known for his versatility, he has captivated audiences in a wide range of performances, including his long-standing association with The Royal Ballet and Opera, where he continues to make valuable contributions to the worlds of classical dance and opera, and can be found onstage in most of the ballet and opera repertoire.

    Alongside his stage work, Rain has built a notable film career, translating his artistry to the screen with roles in major productions that highlight his range as both a dancer and an actor.

    Rain also supports The Royal Ballet and Opera as a Warden, in collaboration with The Dancers Studio London. In this role, he ensures that every visitor to the Royal Ballet Studios feels warmly welcomed and cared for. His calm, attentive presence creates an atmosphere that is both professional and inviting.

    Dancers often speak of how much they value Rain’s kindness and support. Whether guiding guests, offering reassurance, or sharing his enthusiasm for the art form, he enriches each visit to the studios, leaving a lasting impression on all who meet him.

  • Lucy Burns

    Royal Ballet & Opera Warden

    Lucy is a versatile dancer with a dynamic career spanning ballet, opera, and theatre. Trained at Elmhurst Ballet School, she has performed internationally, including a notable role with Phantom of the Opera. Lucy has danced with Vienna Ballet Theatre, English National Opera, and featured in productions at Glyndebourne and the Royal Opera House. She has also graced the stage in Christopher Hampson’s Johann Strauss Gala.

    Her recent engagements include roles in Andrea Chénier at the Royal Opera House, as well as performances in War and PeaceLa Traviata, and La Cenerentola with the Welsh National Opera.

    Lucy’s extensive experience and artistry continue to enrich her performances across both classical and contemporary works.

    Lucy works with The Dancers Studio London as a Warden for The Royal Ballet and Opera, welcoming visitors at sign-in and escorting dancers safely through the building to the studio, ensuring a smooth and secure start to the session.

  • Kian Berry

    Royal Ballet & Opera Warden

    Kian is an actor, singer, and writer, and a recent graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He made his debut with The Royal Ballet in Romeo and Juliet (2024/25 season) and is currently developing his first original musical, How to Say Goodbye.

    Represented by Michelle Braidman Associates, Kian continues to grow his career across stage and screen.

    In addition, he supports The Dancers Studio London as a Warden, welcoming dancers and visitors to the Royal Ballet Studios and ensuring their experience is safe, professional, and inspiring.
